Greetings, and Happy Friday,

The simplest tasks can sometimes become the most daunting when you are left without mobility. That was the case for Bui Thi in this week’s Friday Story:

Bui-Thi_originalBui Thi was born in Vietnam in 1943. At the young age of 12 she was bitten by a snake and the wound became swollen and painful. The wound bothered her from time to time but overall she was able to live a normal life free from any long term damage, or so she thought. Two years ago the wound site became so painful she sought medical attention. It was then that she learned that she had a serious infection and in order to save her life they had to amputate part of her leg. Since then Bui Thi has struggled with her normal day-to-day tasks such as sweeping the floor, washing her clothes and going to the market.

In November, Bui Thi was able to receive a GEN_2 wheelchair from Free Wheelchair Mission and since then has had a much easier time getting around. She is able to take care of herself and her basic daily tasks are not as difficult.

Bui Thi spent her whole life caring for herself and others and thanks to generous supporters like you; she can continue to care for herself with her renewed mobility. It is amazing what $77.91 can accomplish for someone in need. THANK YOU for providing the gift of mobility to recipients like Bui Thi.

Blessings,
