Greetings , and Happy Friday!

With the Christmas season upon us, I wanted to share a story of hope, love and miracles:

Emily, five years old, lives with her mother in Peru. She was born 3 months premature and spent several months in the hospital to grow to a healthier size and weight. While at the hospital, she acquired Spinal Meningitis that left her unable to walk, talk or see.

Her mother does everything she can to help Emily get the care she needs, but without mobility, caring for her sweet daughter is difficult—that is until Emily received her very own FWM GEN_2 wheelchair in October! Her mother is so grateful for the blessing of the wheelchair; it will make caring for Emily much easier, especially since she has been able to get Emily into specialized therapy once a week. Her mother is hopeful that the therapy will help Emily continue to grow stronger and healthier as she gets older.

Emily’s mother’s name is Milagro, which means “miracle” in Spanish. That is just what Milargro was waiting for; a miracle for her darling daughter. Thank you for providing miracles to our recipients and for changing lives through the gift of mobility!

Blessings,

Don Schoendorfer
